The European Society of Ophthlmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery has been recognized as a reciprocal society to the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

Prof. Dr. Med. Charles Beyer-Machule passed away peacefully on July 9 after a brief illness.
He was born in Berthelsdorf, Germany on June 4, 1927 and is survived by Janice, his wife of 38 years.

The Executive Council of ESOPRS is happy to announce the future collaboration of ESOPRS with the Associazione Italiana Medici Oculisti (AIMO) as partner societies.
AIMO has about 1000 members, has a website and organizes Annual Meetings, which include oculoplastic symposia. ESOPRS looks forward to a fruitful exchange of scientific knowledge between the two societies and welcomes AIMO members to our Annual Meetings.

After two years of pandemic, with one ESOPRS meeting cancelled and one held virtually, we finally had the opportunity to see each other again face to face in Nice for the 40th ESOPRS Annual Meeting. On the 5th of February the digital ESOPRS/ASOPRS symposium on ’Nuances in Periocular Reconstruction’ was held. The two hour interactive Meeting was well attended by more than 400 attendees from the US, Europa and other parts of the world.
