Large nevi excision avoiding skin graft

Purpose
Large Nevi’s are usually removed by complete excision and reconstructed by skin gratfs do to their size . This presentation will provide a tool for simple excision by a staged reconstruction with excellent aesthetic results
Methods
Three cases of staged large nevi excision removed by a technique frequently used by General plastic surgery. The method includes removal of central lesion and by that avoiding scarring. As simple as it is, this method has not been routinely used around the eyelids
Results
three patients with large nevi have healed completely without the use of skin grafts , no scarring – only a line hidden scar, all are satisfied with the results , which will be presented in the staged matter
Conclusion
Staged surgery for removal of large lesions such as large nevis, is a well established method in General Plastic surgery, that avoids the use of skin grafts and is cosmetically a good solution for patients that can be patient for a staged excision
