Prof. Dr. Med. Charles Beyer-Machule passed away peacefully on July 9 after a brief illness. He was born in Berthelsdorf, Germany on June 4, 1927 and is survived by Janice, his wife of 38 years. Inna Vladimirovna Sasim was born and raised in Baranovitsji, a small town southwest of Minsk in the former Sovjet state of Belarus. She passed high school with high marks and studied medicine in Minsk with just as good results.
