After two years of pandemic, with one ESOPRS meeting cancelled and one held virtually, we finally had the opportunity to see each other again face to face in Nice for the 40th ESOPRS Annual Meeting. John Wright -- known affectionately to colleagues as “JW” -- was born in May 1933 and, with clouds of war brewing over Europe, he was evacuated and spent much of his childhood in North Wales.
