TRAVEL INFORMATION PRAGUE
TRAVEL
Public transport in Prague is cheap, efficient and highly integrated.
The simplest way to travel into the city from Prague Airport is by taxi (if you pre-book), but you can also use public transport – by bus, then metro.
Once checked into your hotel in the city, it is easy to travel around Prague by public transport.

If you have luggage or prefer a faster, smoother journey, book Prague airport transfers.
Public Transport
There is no metro at Prague Airport. To travel into Prague by public transport, take a bus then change to the metro.
There are two main routes. Both take around one hour:
- Route 1: Take bus 59 from Terminal 1 or 2 at Prague Airport to Nádraží Veleslavín metro station (line A), then change to the Prague Metro.
- Route 2: Take bus 100 from Terminal 1 or 2 at Prague Airport to Zlicin metro station (line B), then change to the Prague Metro.
The single fare into Prague’s city centre is 40 CZK.
Purchase tickets from one of the orange or yellow ticket machines located by the airport exit doors, at the airport bus stops, and inside the buses.
Prague Airport Ticket Machine
Tickets are also available from a Public Transport Information Centre. At the airport, there is one in the Arrivals Hall at both terminals. Open: Daily 07:00-21:00.
Buses 59 and 100 and the Prague Metro form part of the Public Transport Network. Therefore, standard Public Transport Tickets can be used (see below).
