The next Annual ESOPRS Meeting is in Hamburg, Germany
on September 12 – 14, 2019
Welcome to the ESOPRS website
Dear colleagues and friends,
It is our pleasure to announce the 38th Annual Meeting of the European Society of Ophthalmic Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery (ESOPRS) in Hamburg!
The meeting will combine the renowned features of a pre-meeting course, international keynote lectures, open scientific presentations with new formats to enhance discussion in every aspect of oculoplastic surgery.
Our society´s meetings have always been known to be an occasion to connect not only professionally but to make friends across borders throughout our careers.
Germany’s most liveable city has a lot going for it: it is historic, hip and full of eye-catching architecture. Many canals and bridges make this harbour city reminiscent of parts of Scandinavia. Visitors have used the term “Venice of the north” to describe the magnificence of Hamburg. Beautiful Jugendstil (German art nouveau) structures line the canals, but the most striking building of all and the centerpiece of the city’s harbour is the Elbphilharmonie concert hall.
In Hamburg one can find music and theatre, museums but the city can compete with London and Berlin when it comes to nightlife!
The 38th Annual Meeting of ESOPRS will be organised by the local team, consisting of Uli Schaudig, Pegah Heidari, Syvlia Green and Matthias Keserü. The ESOPRS Committee is convinced that they will do an excellent job in creating an unforgettable scientific, social and cultural event for all who are interested in the fascinating field of oculoplastic, lacrimal and orbital surgery.
Looking forward to seeing you in Hamburg!
On behalf of the Council of ESOPRS,
Dion Paridaens, PhD, MD
Secretary.
