International Symposium on Wartime Ophthalmic Trauma

OBITUARY

We are sad to announce the sudden loss of two or our most senior and revered lacrimal surgeons, Professor Jeffrey Jay Hurwitz (Canada) and Professor Sergey Shkolnick (Russia). Jeffrey Jay Hurwitz Professor Hurwitz, International Society of Dacryology and Dry Eye (ISD-DE) Councillor, passed away on 4th February 2022 at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto, Canada, where he had been the Ophthalmologist-in-Chief for over three decades. ESOPRS/ASOPRS symposium on ’Nuances in Periocular Reconstruction’ (5th Feb 2022)

On the 5th of February the digital ESOPRS/ASOPRS symposium on ’Nuances in Periocular Reconstruction’ was held. The two hour interactive Meeting was well attended by more than 400 attendees from the US, Europa and other parts of the world. ESOPRS winter meeting 2022 will be held from 10 to 13 march 2022 at the Sunstar hotel, Zermatt, Switzerland. the Organising Committee of the 12th COSC UM-APOTS Conference 2022. ,we are pleased to announce that the Asia Pacific Ophthalmic Trauma Society Conference this year will be held in conjunction with the 12th Conjoint Ophthalmology Scientific Conference (COSC) 2022 on the 17th and 18th September in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The theme of the conference is Repair, Restore, Rehabilitate, pRevent – Ophthalmic Trauma 360°.

Our meeting will be a face to face meeting and Malaysia awaits to welcome you in person as travel borders are reopened.

The conference is now open for abstract submission and the closing date is the 15th June 2022.
