Purpose
IntroductionDacryops is a lacrimal ductal cyst. A benign tumor that account for up to 2% of orbital masses.The diagnosis is easy if patients are well examined.
Methods
We report cases of four patientsTwo children aged 5 and 7 years old with acquired ptosis.A young woman 18 years old with a mass in the super medial orbital angle.A 27 years old woman with big bilateral cysts punctured every 3 to 6 months during two years.
Results
All patients undergone a cyst excision using the conjonctival approach. They all recovered well.
Conclusion
Dacryops can be seen in childhood and young adulthood.A good knowledge of anatomy and well codified management avoid a large number of complications. Cyst content is sterile. The risk of puncture is infection.The only treatment is surgery. Complete excision is recommended to obtain a healing.
