Presentation Type: Video Presentation

Purpose

Demonstrate an update to the “Tuck and Rise” technique for brow ptosis.

Methods

This is a video demonstrating an updated technique for the internal brow pexy.

Results

This enhanced technique improves brow position and volumizes the lateral brow.

Conclusion

The “Tuck and Rise” incorporates a partial orbicularis resection to weaken the only depressor of the brow and suspend the brow through an internal brow pexy.1 In the traditional internal brow pexy, the lower cuff of orbicularis is sutured to the periosteum.2 Our enhancement involves dissecting below the sub brow fat pad and then suturing the fat pad to the periosteum, without incorporating the orbicularis. This modification results in decreased transient skin dimpling and decreased likelihood lagophthalmos while providing brow lift and fullness.
