Endolaser on the face associated with blefaroplasty for rejuvenation – cases analysis

Purpose
The objetive of this cases report is to show the methodology used in 9 patients who underwent blepharoplasty and also endolaser on the eyelids and face in the same operation, aiming to improve skin sagging, providing colagen stimulation and improving dermal thickness at the same time.
Methods
The endolaser was performed with a diode laser with 1470 and 980 nm from the Elyon brand. The optical fibers used was 400 microns tickeness. The laser was fired in aretrogade fan manner , aimming to cover the entire region of the skin that surrounded the delimeted area, using specif parameters acording the anatomic region. After, blepharoplasty was performd with CO2 laser.
Endolaser Parameters:Forehead – 2J, Eyelids 1-2 J, face 2-3J, Neck 4-6 J, with pulsed wave mode.
Results
Patients underwent photographs and answered a questionnaire on patient’s satisfaction 30 days and 180 days after the procedure.
The photographs revealed a redution on the skin sagging in the contour of the face, and a reduction in the static wrinkles on the forehead, periocular region and glabella. 95% of patients reported in the questionnaire as very satisfied, with less tham 10% being complication, the most commum complication was edemma.
Conclusion
the demand for aesthetic procedures has seem exponential growth throught the worl, especially in Brazil. The use of procedures combined with blepharoplasty is a possibility in oculoplastic surgery anf the endolaser is well establiseh method for treating sagging. It was observed a large percentual od patients had a very high level with the procedure, and there were no servere complications, most of wich were mild as pain and edemma. Furthermore, the improvement in the general sagging of the face leaves the patients very satisfied, because in a single surgical procedure and with a minimal invasive laser it can be possible. The oculoplastic suegeon have the complete condition to carry out.
